JOM MAKAN: MyKori Dessert Cafe, Sungai Besar
On the first December 2020, I went to MyKori Dessert Cafe in my hometown. Well, specifically the cafe is located at Sungai Besar, Selangor. So, today I'm gonna make my review for this cafe.
First off, I'm not an expert, but I'm quite picky about what's going inside my mouth that go through to every inch of my taste buds and so forth. So yeah, my review is based on what I like and dislike as a human being.
MyKori has been famous since last year in 2019 as far as I'm concerned. This was my first time trying it.
Let's cut the chit-chat, let's talk about food- well in this case DESSERT.
I bought myself the Classic Shibuya Honey Toast, which is RM16.50 per serving. I would like to order more, but unfortunately, there were not many choices that I can choose as the menu mostly based on toppings and ice flakesb which doesn't really intrigue me at the moment.
Next, we can choose the ice-cream combination for the set. I chose Choco Milk ice-cream and CookiesnCream ice-cream. Well, I chose that combination because I don't like my dessert to be too weird and simple at that time. So yeah😉
For every components of the dessert, I do have set bar of expectations for em. However, I would say, the dessert is below my expectation with the price that I paid. But, there were still some sweet side of this dessert instead of the bitter comments that I gave.
The CookiesnCream ice-cream, it was a pure sugar with some vanilla taste. For Choco Milk ice-cream, it's pretty okay to be honest. It has the sweet and bitter taste. When I ate it for the first bite, I can taste the bitterness and the sweetness kicks. With some nutty texture from the diced nuts, I mean it's not bad.
The toast... hmm... its a thick bread.. it has a crispy layer outside and unfortunately not a tender and soft texture inside. I could only remember eating bunch of sugar covered with butter for that bread. hmm... not a very good toast I might say.
I would prefer it to be more soft and tender texture on the inside, and also lesser butter to ensure that the bread is not wet😐-especially when there is a scoop of ice-cream on top of the toast. Not a cherry on top moment for me I might say😐.
However, the presentation of this dessert was quite satisfying for me. It was simple and sweet. It also includes a small jar of honey so that you can add it on your own.
Overall, this dessert deserve 1 out of 5 stars for me. The combination of the toast and ice-cream was just not right for me for this dessert.
Let's see about the cafe interior design, shall we?
Not much to say... not much to see...
Hmm, I think maybe because of the current condition of COVID, the decoration and all must be reduced too?... maybe I'm not sure...
Overall, I would rate this cafe 2 out of 5 stars. Oh yeah, don't wanna forget to inform that the tapao charge is for RM2.00.
In conclusion, everyone has their opinion for their experience. This is my review and experience for MyKori Dessert Cafe Sungai Besar.
